WELCOME

Established in 1960 as Garston Playgroup our Early Years Centre has developed into a highly respected and popular childcare provider.

For many years we were known as Lea Farm Pre-School, until September 2005 when we became Berrygrove Pre-School after the amalgamation of 3 local Schools. We are now Berrygrove Early Years Centre.

Since then we have worked hard to develop strong links with The Grove Academy and, with the School becoming a Children’s Centre, we have developed  Full Daycare provision to run alongside our sessional Pre-School.

 

About Us

 

Our aim is to provide the best quality, flexible, affordable childcare. We do this by providing a happy, caring and stimulating environment where children aged 2-5 will recognise and achieve their fullest potential.

We maintain a ratio of 4:1 children to staff for two year olds and 8:1 for three year and four year olds. At least 70% of our staff hold qualifications in the Diploma in Preschool Practice.

Insurance

We have full employers and public liability insurance with Royal and Sun Alliance Insurance plc. The current certificate is displayed in the lobby.

Early Years Learning Alliance 

We are a member of the Early Years Learning Alliance, which is the National Voluntary body providing support and advice to Pre-schools. We have adopted the constitution laid down by the PSLA.
